Current Programs

At Nex Gen our goal is to help the youth get hands-on experience in the motorsport world, both on and off the track. We are in the process of developing several youth motorsport programs here at Nex Gen which will continue to evolve over time. Please check back for future updates!

‘Kids in Pits’ Crew Experience.

Attending a motorsport event is exciting for any young motorsport lover, but at Nex Gen we want you to get amongst the action and get your hands dirty! Each event that we attend we’re giving a limited number of participants the chance to get up close and personal working on a race car! Each participant will be closely supervised and shown the ropes as a member of our race team creating unforgettable memories along the way. The number of spots available will vary depending on the event, but everyone is encouraged to come and get a photo with the car, and if time allows, to jump in the driver’s seat!

Keep an eye on our social media for upcoming events we’re attending, and if you’re hosting an event, or run a motorsport team and wish to help inspire the Nex Gen of Motorsport lovers, be sure to contact us!

Educational Programs

Basic Car Maintenance.

The Car Maintenance program is a great starting point for kids who want to learn about cars but don’t know where to begin. As they complete each section within the program, they will receive a certificate of achievement. This course, in its entirety, is designed to give participants the skills required to service and maintain their own cars. Completion of each module will enable them to expand on their knowledge and apply this in our Race Car crewing experiences.

Every process will be explained and demonstrated before the participant attempts it themselves. Each session will include an introduction to the tools being used.

Race Car Crewing Experience.

This is the real deal: getting up close and personal and swinging spanners on an actual race car at the track! Learn the ropes as a crew member in a Motorsport team and how to keep the car on track!

Available to students who have passed the components of the Basic Car Maintenance Program, our crew experience enables participants to get hands-on with a race car at the track. This allows them to test out their skills while being part of a Motorsport Team.

As participants complete more sections of the car maintenance, they will be able to progress within teams, take on more challenging tasks, and learn along the way! This includes being a part of the team building our 2 race cars, and preparing them for the track!

Some events may allow participants to go for a ‘passenger ride-along’; this is dependent on the passenger requirements for the event and at the driver’s discretion.

Future Programs

Driver Training.

Available for children 12years +

For those keen to take it from the pits onto the track! Our driver education program will teach participants the basics of car control. Starting with a small theory component, we’ll move on track and work through taking off in a manual car, to emergency braking, to drifting for the first time!

This course will continue to evolve, allowing participants to drive competitively in the “Nex Gen Skyline” race car that is currently under construction! However, as with anything motorsport-related, it’s not cheap, so if you’d like to come on board as a member or a sponsor, please check out the Support Us page!
